VALDOSTA BANKRUPTCY: QUESTION OF THE DAY

What documents do I need to bring to my free consultation?

Nothing. You don’t have to bring any documents to the initial consultation. This initial meeting is so that you can sit down with an attorney to learn what the different kinds of bankruptcy can do for you and to help you decide if you want to file for bankruptcy protection. If you decide you want to file, we are required to see proof of your income from all sources for the six months before the month you file in, as well as your last filed tax return. If you are married, this would also include your spouse’s income. Every case is different, and if we discover that other documents are needed during our discussion, we will let you know. Usually it is simple and straightforward.
